Grossest Thing Ever!

Note: This is NOT for the squeemish at heart. Literally, this is probably the grossest thing I've ever seen/heard of and what's worse is that it's real! Yuck.

Here are a few more links in case you're interested in the medical side of things:

Fetus In Fetu: A Case Report and Literature Review

An interesting thing to think about with this is how does all of this apply to the theory of people having souls from the moment they are conceived? This is more developed than a few day old fetus, so are the doctors committing murder by removing it?

"Facial and cranial structures also are uncommonly seen, yet eyes, ears, mouth and poorly organized brain and cerebellum have been observed"

Why do you suppose I've been saying for your entire lifespan the the big "A" is really the big "M" (refer to song from the mid-70's by Gary Paxton-it's on one of those old vinyl-to-cd album favors you did for me a while back). There used to be a film that made the rounds entitled, "Silent Scream" - seeing that was all the convincing I ever needed to know that The Most High God was indeed correct when he inspired David to write, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your Book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. (Psalm 139:13-16 NKJV)
What more can I say. Welcome aboard, matey!
p.s.: Glad to know you're still in the land of the living...

I agree this does present some problems for those who, like myself, believe the soul occurs at conception. That said, I feel like it presents no more problems than other forms of miscarriage or prenatal death. I, personally believe that just like when a death occurs before delivery the soul immediately goes to the afterlife, despite the body not being delivered just like the soul, I believe, is often gone before relatives are ready to turn off the machines. You see, I would rather err on the side of life beginning at conception and deal with these questions rather than claim that some other arbitra;y time, event, or body part that functions properly is what constitutes the beginning of the soul.
